Flying Pets Internationally

Before the grand plan materialized, I found myself in a Facebook group named "Chartered Air Travel with Pets." It's a haven for those who prefer their furry companions to fly in the lap of luxury, steering clear of the commercial plane's cargo hold. Certainly not an option for Baby Vannah!

Here's the drill: Members announce their desire to reach a destination (fill in the blank), sometime during (fill in the month), or even in (fill in the season). Then, like-minded individuals join in, and together, they divide the expenses of a private jet. Yes, it sounds a tad bougie, I admit. But truthfully, it's all for the love of our dogs. The maximum capacity for these canine-friendly flights is typically 10 humans and 10 or fewer dogs. So, in cases where no organized flights are available, you have the option to take the reins and plan your own, rallying fellow passengers.

Enter fate: Italy was nowhere on anyone's agenda. In classic Monica fashion, I've taken charge, rounding up passengers and orchestrating a flight from Atlanta to Naples. I've had my fair share of calls with flight brokers, including one who, unfortunately, led me astray and earned me a brief expulsion from the group. Lesson learned! But fear not, I'm back in the fold, plans are in motion, and approximately 14 eager souls are on board.

After careful consideration, I've chosen 360 Aviation as our trusted partner. However, the final cost won't be unveiled until roughly six months before liftoff. Come December, fingers crossed, I'll be negotiating for a budget-friendly deal, praying that at least nine others are still up for the adventure.

PS - We are not paying for two seats on that plane. Vannah will be better with her dad if things get rough. I will probably leave the day before so that I can meet them on the runway.
